From the Congregation Chairman

Brothers & Sisters in Christ, What an August we had! Our new Pastor, the Reverend Doctor Rosebrock, has been knocking it out of the park here at Immanuel. Our website is really improved. We painted the Fellowship Hall. We got a HUGE blessing from the Hedtke Fund, & wisely voted to set aside the largest part of that money. We helped out our former Pastor, David Yarrington and his wife Sharon with part of God's gift. We helped fix up the home of the Hawkins & raised over $ 19,000.00 to help them with their medical bills. We are Lutherans, and we ROCK IT it in the service of the Lord! I am mighty proud of you, Brothers & Sisters, for all of your good, hard work & the great decisions you have made, with the help of God. As a special reward to you all, I am going to keep this month's submission VERY SHORT! Please continue to pray for those who need it, especially the Hawkins, Pastor Yarrington and all the others who need our prayers. Don't be afraid to drop in on someone who needs a visit, either! Bernice, who is now enjoying her heavenly home, benefited greatly from the visits she received at the end - as did those who spent some of that time with her. May God grant you His blessings as we move from summer into autumn. Watch out for farmers. Their tractors are bigger than your Prius! May you all continue to enjoy God's generous love & grace!
