Outdoor Service on June 21

​Dear Family at Immanuel,

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!” (Psalm 122:1)

I am happy to invite you to an outdoor service our first return to in-person services on June 21, 2020 at 9am! See the details for the outdoor service below should weather allow. The service will only take place out of a bulletin that will be printed beforehand. If you prefer, you may download and print the the bulletin for the service here:

The service will be livestreamed on Facebook Live. You will be able to find the service at our public Facebook Page. It is not necessary to create a Facebook account to watch the service—though you may be prompted to create one. Simply click the "x" to remove any windows.

One of the added benefits of having the service on Facebook is the ability to communicate with the wider community as it makes sharing very easy. The service will automatically be saved for viewing later. If you remain home to watch the service life, I encourage you to comment and share.

Our service will take place from the pavilion behind the building with congregants gathered in the grassy area. Congregants are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and/or blankets. Please leave the parking spaces at the edge of the parking lot (closest to the pavilion) for those who may wish to remain in their vehicle. Below are a list of items for our time together.

• As you consider gathering, please know that if you are not yet comfortable to do so, that is perfectly fine and we understand. The service will still be made available online and on the phone either as a livestream or a recording later the same day. 
  • Please remain home if you are experiencing any symptoms of illness or have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 within the last 2 weeks. Anyone showing persistent symptoms will be asked to return home and watch the service on the computer or listen on the phone.
  • Please strongly consider staying home if you are at high-risk of serious complications with COVID-19 due to age or underlying medical conditions.
• Masks are still encouraged for gatherings outdoors, especially if you plan to sing. We have purchased several that will be made available if you forget to bring one. In the event of inclement weather and the necessity to move indoors, masks should be worn.
• Households should sit together and there should be at least 6ft distance between households. Please avoid handshakes, hugs, or any physical contact with those who are not in your household.
• Bulletins will be made available for you to download on the Church’s website and via email if you prefer to print them at home. There will also be bulletins made available at the service as well.
• In the event if inclement weather, we will move our service indoors. More information on this provisional plan will come soon.
• At the conclusion of the service, there will be no fellowship/treat time or in-person Bible Study (Bible Study will take place online on Zoom at the regular time of 10:30am—see the link below). We ask that you please return to your vehicle in a timely manner and avoid congregating for extended conversation.
• This list is subject to change, but we do not foresee that happening. When we move to indoor services, a different list of precautions and guidelines will be made available to you.
