By the Gospel, we have received the gift of salvation freely. Our sins have been forgiven and we are now God's people. This good news continues to lead us to serve our neighbors, not for our standing before God, but because of God's love for us and all people in Christ Jesus. As Martin Luther said to this effect, "God does not need our good works, but our neighbor does." There are multiple ways to serve here at Immanuel: in the area community, in the congregation, and the wider Church and world. We continue to look for ways to reach out and share the love of Christ. Area Community One of the chief ways that we serve the community is through The Good Samaritan Food Pantry that has been serving the area for over a decade. We are continually looking for more ways of service to the community. Members are invited to join and be a part of the outreach committee to discuss ways that we might serve those in our local community. In the Congregation There are also multiple ways that members can serve in the weekly and monthly needs of our life as a congregation. Below are are list of several opportunities:
